There seems to be a problem setting up Custom User Controls

Usually, in the past I would just go to the web.config and setup the controls. I figured out how to use the advanced settings but when I add a user control I get the error: Could not load type ''.

I will go take a look in the documentation but this seems like it should be pretty straight forward.

SOLVED

I didn't look close enough at each of the input boxes in the control config

ControlType

Specifies CLR type for custom controls or the virtual path for user controls.

Hello jaime,

The namespace to your custom control is not correct or the project does not have a reference to your dll (compiled class library).
