Any updates on being able to access session state in the masterpage? I didn't work in the betas and doesn't seem to work in the RC either. Is support for this planned?

Thanks

Hello kz,

We will sort the issues related to the session for the official release.

Good Lord - we have a beta dev project running, and RC should have been here month ago - we are on a tight schedule and must goLive before Xmas - is there no way to sort this out?

Hi etratt,

We will have internal builds with fixes that we are going to release before the official release. Each release has notes with fixes. If we manage to do this before the official release you will be able to get the build from your downloads section and patch your project.

I am trying access SessionState like this : (HttpContext.Current.Session["MyValue"]

I have done all i need in web.config but it's still return "Session" as null - is this due to the same issue ?

Hello Mark,

Unfortunately your problem is caused by the same bug we have with SessionState on Sitefinity pages.

Doh - this is a biggy for me. Whats the ETA on the fix ?

I am currently building out our site on SF4.0 RC1 and have about 50 pages. If I upgrade to one of the weekly builds, whats the upgrade story ? Can i just web site but leave all my content in the DB ?

Cheers
Mark

Hello Mark,

The ETA for the Session issue is the RTM. If we manage to fix the issue before the final RTM build the fix will be included in the internal builds that we are going to release.

Upgrades - the upgrades are can be performed through the ProjectManager. If there are changes in the database we include scripts that will upgrade the database.

Best wishes,
