Migration leaves 3.7 intact

Just a quick question; when using the migration tool, to go from 3.7 to 4.0, does it leave 3.7 still completely intact and working fine, does it essentially copy the necessary 3.7 files/database values and recreates everything in a separate location?

Hi George,

Thank you for using our services.

The Migration tool uses a webservice which copies content from data providers in Sitefinity 3.x to Sitefinity 4.0. It does not do anything to compromise data integrity on the Stiefinity 3.x website.
