Weekly Build Updates and Web Application Project Names

I've created a Sitefinity 4.0 RC project using the Project Manager application which worked fine. I then went in and changed the name of the Sitefinity Web Application project and file from SitefinityWebApp to a more descriptive project name using Visual Studio 2010.

When I saw thread about the weekly updates, I downloaded the new Project Manager application and updated my project to the new release using the Project Manager. Instead of updating my existing web application project file, the Project Manager created a new web application project file name SitefinityWebApp. All files and references that were added to my previous version web application project are not included and I'm not sure if my original project file was updated.

Is this the intended functionality? Do I have to redo everything I did in the original project file? The changed project name is correctly displayed in the Project Manager.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Keith,

Thank you for using our services.

The problem of the project manager's upgrade button is that it will not consider that you might have changed the application's name. You can remove the SitefinityWebApp project file and open up your original project file. Then you need to update the references to your assemblies and probably include in the project new files that have been deployed with the upgrade.
