Content Inline-editing for logged on users
Hello,
congratulation to this new and very excellent feature. - All future SF-Users will love it.
BUT: in an application, for instance an intranet-application, not each user should have access to this inline-editing and should not see that nice EDIT-icon on right side of the frontend pages? Do you think that you can make an adaption until January 14th and manage it also with roles (administrator? editor?) and special permissions?
Thanks for your effort until today, this version will be a big success next year.
Happy Christmas and happy new year 2011 to the Telerik-Sitefinity-Team,
with best regards, Robert
Hello Robert ,
Yes we are aware of this limitation and it is in our roadmap. We will do our best to provide settings and configurations for the in-line editing feature in our of our next releases. The focus of the official release is bug fixing and polishing. Otherwise we will not be able to provide you with a stable and reliable official version if we keep letting features in our plans for that release.
Thank you for your patience that and please excuse us for the inconvenience.
Best wishes,
Hristo Borisov

Hi,
I am migrating a website using Sitefinity 3.7 to version 4. The included css for Inline-editing (I guess) affects the layout of my items. is there any way to disable this functionality while we update our style sheets?
Thanks in advance
Hi ,
Under Sitefinity >> Administration >> Settings >> Advanced >> Pages you can disable the Browse and Edit feature. You should set EnableBrowseAndEdit to False
