Multiple Sites Sharing Same Users

Hi,

We currently have two web sites sharing the same user base, and we were wondering if this was possible out-of-the-box using Sitefinity?
The idea being that a end-user who created an account on SiteA, should be able to access SiteB using the same account.
Could we do that without externalizing our accounts to a third and shared custom-made database?

Regards,
Carl

Hi Carl,

You can share the users following this post, but currently there are issues if you want to share one database between several websites. Basically the Pages section will not work properly.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for your answer.
Just to make this perfectly clear:
 1. Using Sitefinity's current version, I have to have one database per site,
 2. Would you know of any currently working way to share users between the two sites?

Regards,
Carl

Hi Carl,

The post marked as answer provides steps to configure one shared database for users in different web sites.
