Are there plans to be able to rename or duplicate a template as per pages? Thanks...

We have not planned such implementation in the roadmap. However, if there is a significant request from our customers we will reconsider its priority and we will include it in our future plans.

The ability to copy templates is a HUGE time saver! Revision history as well!

Can template copying be done programmatically?

Hello Charles,

Excuse us for the late response.

You can have a look at the proposed solution at this thread, furthermore we have a PITS issue on which you can vote to speed up the priority of this feature. We are always taking into consideration the number of votes in our PITS system when setting priorities for single features. We will do our best to include this in our 4.3 or 4.4 release Roadmap, and I will personally include this feature in the agenda for our next sprint planning meeting. It seems that this is a small effort that has been highly requested.

WE just bought Sitefinity 6.1 and was looking for a way to copy templates. It seems like we still do not see the feature to copy the page template. Do you know when this feature will be implemented?

Hello all,

You could vote for this feature request on the following link:

There is no exact date scheduled yet. When planning for releases, we are always going through the feature requests in PITS and taking decision based on votes.

However note that I have marked the feature request as important for clients and I hope that it will be included in one of our feature releases.
