Source Code for Professional Edition

Hi,

Do we get the source code for professional edition or is it only for Enterprise Edition? I've noticed some changes to the licensing and in the license comparison page, it says 'Source Code' is 'Option' for professional edition.

What does it mean? Do we have to buy the source code or is it given free?

Can you tell me for a fact if source code is available for Professional Edition or not?

Hi Larry,

Indeed, we are introducing some changes in regards to the provision of the source code of Sitefinity 4.0 as announced in the product roadmap. The source code will not be shipped with the Enterprise Edition. It will be an option to the Professional and Enterprise Editions. All customers who have received the source code as part of their Enterprise licenses will keep it.

What that means is that customers with Professional and Enterprise editions will be able to receive the source code. What you will need to do would be to contact our sales team - our sales managers will discuss your requirements and needs, and then recommend the best options for you. You can reach them on the e-mail sales AT sitefinity.com .

Best wishes,
