Optimal License - Sitefinity - General Discussions

What would be the optimal license for the following scenario

Two developers with their own local development (e.g. localhost)
http://beta.website.net -- Points to Database A
http://www.website.com -- Points to Database B
http://admin.website.com -- Points to Database B

We have 2 developers that develop on their own local development. Then we push to http://beta.website.net to merge our changes, test, etc. Then we push to our production website, http://www.website.com.

http://admin.website.com is a dashboard that allows us to monitor the activities of the production website since it points to the same database.

You'll notice that http://beta.website.net is a different domain from http://www.website.com. Does Sitefinity count them as two distinct separate domains?

Does one license cover all the scenarios above or would I need two licenses to cover all the scenarios above?

Our maximum concurrent users for http://beta.website.net, http://www.website.com and http://admin.website.com is 3.

The license for Standard seems to match our requirements. Yet, the pricing for Small Business license is a better fit for our budget.

Please advise.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for choosing Sitefinity CMS!

One Sitefinity license covers one top-level domain name and all its sub-domains. Ideally in your case, if you could have your merging server on beta.website.com instead of beta.website.net, then all would be covered by the same license.
Since website.com and website.net are considered two different domain names (and they won't be pointing to the same server, opening the same content , so they are not domain aliases), they will require 2 licenses.
