custom widget permissions

hello telerik team.

i am make a custom widget to preview some data,
and another widget for the client (web site owner)  to edit the data.

i grab the second control to a new back-end page. ->
where the client should edit the data.

but the control is steel in the tool box
and the client can grab this control to his page..
How can I prevent this?
(Without telling him not to do it)   :)

Hi g,

Unfortunately, we don't support configuring the toolbox differently based on roles and users. Toolbox controls are just configurations, and we plan to support your scenario through configuration policies. This is not going to make it to our Q1 release, though.
Until then, you can manually remove the control from the toolbox, AFTER you add it on a page, so that your clients cannot use it. This will remove it only from the toolbox and will not break any functionality.
