custom user control - add content

If I create a custom usercontrol to use within my sitefinity site, can I drag a content block on to it?
Meaning, I want to create several custom user controls that will do different things, however, the content can change on them, So I want to be able to give my users access to the usercontrol which will have all the functionality, layout, format, etc included and all they need to do is add content.

Is this possible?

Thank you for contacting Telerik Support.

In order to give  users access to the layout, format, and ability to add content add content you need to create a control designer which will be used to handle the setting of the control. For rich text content you can use HtmlField control. I have attached sample user control with designer which uses the HtmlField.

can I take this one step further meaning, have a predifend layout, such as

I want content, image and a button, I want to define the location of the image so all the user has to do is add content next to the image and they can change their image at well also

so I want it to look like

content  image
                button

or
image  content
              button
