not able to run Sitefinity_4.0.1210.0.msi

Hi
I have downloaded the Sitefinity_4.0.1210.0.msi file and tries to run but ends with following error.

This installation package could not be opened. contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.

Please suggest the solution.

Hello Ujval,

Could you please give us more information about your system. The problem may be caused by Windows Installer package (.msi) file which is damaged or corrupted.  You can try and update it with the latest version or try and run the installation as an administrator.
