Problem of Upgrade to 4.1 - Sitefinity - General Discussions

Good day!

I've tried to upgrade 4.0 SP1 to 4.1 via Project Manager. But at the end of upgrade process i have error:
NullReferenceException
Please see full error message in attachment.

Could you please say why it happens? What does it mean? How I can fix it?

Hi Eugene Gvozdarev,

It seems your Project.xml file could not be updated automatically for some reason. Is the file saved on the Desktop? To solve the issue, open Project.xml manually through Visual Studio (or some other editor) and set the proper version of the upgraded project. For example:

<projects>

<project id="6B48561E-A1B6-41B2-9AD2-4B6D880CC1CE" Name="Education_Sandbox" BrowseUrl="Click Browse to resolve" SfVersion="4.1.1339.0" DateCreated="04/15/2011 10:12:06">

<Location Type="FileSystem" Url="C:\Users\pivanova\Desktop\Projects\Education_Sandbox" LocalPath="C:\Users\pivanova\Desktop\Projects\Education_Sandbox" />

</project>

</projects>

Then, you could open Project Manager and browse the site.
