Image embedding

I noticed several things when looking at the image embed option:

1. The alt tag contains [Object object] which seems like a JavaScript issue.
2. Second, when choosing a different size, the img tag's width and heigh are adjusted, but I would expect the image to be resized by appending the correct query string parameters to the URL
3. The URL seems to always display the image even when it's not published (I think because of the ?status=Master query string). Shouldn't it result in a 404 as long as it's not yet published?
