Can someone explain how the search works in the backend settings?

Like I want to index News, but I don't have a dedicated page for news, it's just a widget on the homepage...so is that the page I choose in the backend search selection?

Hello Steve,

You don`t need a dedicated page for news in you don`t have one. Just point to the page that hosts the widget. This is in order to if and item in news is found to lead the user to that page.
