The new EU Cookie Law? (Google Analytics)

Does anyone have any idea how the new EU cookie law is going to affect the use of Google Analytics in the UK / Europe?

I also would like to find out more about how sitefinity will be dealing with cookies going forward for EU sites?
I was given this link today to review:

So it won't be just google analytics, but even sitefinity itself if its putting any cookie's on peoples systems.
