Problem with deleted news still displayed - Sitefinity - General Discussions

Hello,

I'm running a bilingual website (FR/EN) on Sitefinity 4.1 SP1 and I noticed the following problem :

1 - I create a news in FR, and create its EN equivalent,
2 - The news is displayed in the front end in a page with a "News" widget, on both languages.
3 - On the backend, i delete the EN version of the news.
4 - the EN version of the news is still displayed on the front end by the "News" widget" (that's the problem, it's supposed to be deleted)
5 - In addition, when I try to re-create this news in EN, the content is already filled with what i have precedently deleted.

Seems to me like a persistence problem. I even tried to delete the history.

Any idea where that would come from?

Hi F,

There is indeed an issue with deleting content items in ML mode. We are aware of this problem and we are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
The issue is logged in our bug-tracking system. You can monitor the status of the bugs in our issue tracking system PITS. The issue ID is 6325.

As a workaround I can suggest deleting the whole news item and recreate it only in one language version.
