Place 'No Follow Links' on some internal links

I would like to know if its possible for me to place 'No Follow Links' on some of the internal links within the site. By 'no follow' link mean  that the search engine robot doesn't follow this link. For example I would turn any link to the About Us page into a 'no follow' link as this page serves no real SEO purpose.

Thanks
Steve

Hi Ivan

thanks for the links. The articles refer to removing pages or content once they have been indexed. I was looking for a way to set search engines to not index certain pages when I create them through the CMS interface.

I had another look in the page settings and saw that there is a checkbox for 'Allow search engines to index this page'. I presume if this isn't checked this would stop Google etc from indexing the page. Would this assumption be correct?

Many Thanks

Steve

Hi Steven,

Yes, but this removes the entire page from the crawler by adding

<meta name="robots" content="noindex" /> in the head tag of the page.
