create new content type

In 4.1 sp2, I need to create a new content type, and I'm trying to find some doc/videos on how to accomplish this.
I'm looking to add several new content types under the content menu item and have those types connect to my defined table.I was able to do this in 3.7 in a snap, however, not having much luck in 4.1.

So for example, when I log into the admin portion of my site, I click on the [content] menu option, I want to see my new content types under the types of content in the menu. I want to see [New] and [Used] under there and when the users click on one of them, I want to take them to a data entry screen fill out some fields, and then save that to my defined table so that data can later be used within my site

how can I accomplish this in 4?

Hello Nutositefinity,

Here are link to videos covering the subject about modules:
http://www.sitefinity.com/blogs/joshmorales/posts/11-05-26/creating_intra-site_modules_in_sitefinity_4.aspx

http://www.sitefinity.com/blogs/gabesumner/posts/11-07-05/webinar_video_now_available_ndash_sitefinity_4_modules_made_simple.aspx

These videos cover the area of creating a module and storing data in the database. For more examples you can install Jobs and Products module which are available with Sitefinity SDK and see how they are created. You c can also modify them to suit your requirements.
