Unable to order taxons

Does anyone know how to get around the "Cannot move first taxon up" or "Cannot move last taxon down" error when attempting to reorganize a category hierarchy? These errors would make sense; however, in my case, it gives me the same message for each taxon in the hierarchy no matter the taxon's place.

Hello Minh,

Can you please let us know exactly which version of Sitefinity are you using? There has been a bug in earlier versions of Sitefinity 4.x however this issue is resolved now and taxonomies can be arranged properly.

Hello Udi,

This error will be thrown if you try to move the first taxon up or the last taxon down (error message will be "Cannot move the last taxon down"). However this is a functional design. The first taxon cannot be moved up only down.

This still appears to be a bug for me (4.4).

I'm trying to sort the departments. Sorting the root departments works fine but I can't sort any child departments. Instead I always get the "Cannot move last taxon down" message when trying to move down, and "Cannot move last taxon up" when trying to move up. It doesn't matter if is actually first, last or somewhere in the middle, I always get one or the other message.

I've just found and voted for this in PITS: http://www.telerik.com/support/pits.aspx#/details/Issue=5988

Since it's been open since May last year, only has 3 votes and isn't scheduled, I guess I'm being optimistic to think that it might be fixed any time soon?

Hi,

Unfortunately we have not been able to fix this bug the 5.0 release. I will update this thread once we schedule the bug for fixing.
