update usercontrol path - Sitefinity - General Discussions

I have updated the path of a user-control in Sitefinity 4 but there are more than 30 pages are using same user-control. However, sitefinity is not automatically updating the path of this user-control for all the pages which are using this user-control. Is there any way to update the user-control’s path for all the pages quickly instead of going inside of each page and update the user control manually?

Hi Asif,

Please take a look at this documentation article. You should take all controls in the controls collection of your pages. Then you should query for controls whose ObjectType matches the old path to your controls. Once you get all those controls you should set the ObjectType property to to the new path.
