How to upgrade Sitefinity 4.x on localhost

Hi Guys,

I have followed these upgrade instructions for Sitefinity 4.x but my project manager's Upgrade button is de-activated by default.

We recently activated our copy of Sitefinity on our domain and perhaps it is a case that Sitefinity cannot be upgraded on localhost and must be done on the domain where it is activated?

Thanks,
James

Hi James,

If the Upgrade button is not active that means that either your assemblies match the version of the Project Manager or the project is not in the same folder as outlined in the Project.xml file. Please make sure that the folder contains the project and its accessible.

Also please verify that the assemblies of the project are not the same version as the Project Manager itself.
