Reindexing

Hello,

We have a search index on the news in our website, by adding a news item and trying to search this item using the search widget I got "no results".
Should I re-index the data after any changes done on the news items? And is there an automated way to re-index the data every predefined time period?

Hello Amr Elsayed,

We know of an issue related to the indexation in build Sitefinity 4.2 - please consult this article and make sure you apply the fix and re-run the indexing of the website.

Also the content of your website needs to be reindexed in order for the search control to find the updated data. Still we do not have an implementation that will automatically reindex the whole website but your pages are getting automatically reindexed after publishing.
