Clarification on what is a content item

I have a client using the Small Business Edition. They have a need for a registration utility. The registration will not be for users registering to their site but rather it will be a custom registration component that manages product registration.

I'd like to keep the development all within the Sitefinity project, very similar to the Products sample you have, but was wondering what part this feature would count towards content item limitation? For example, would each record added to the database be counted as a content item?

Hi Michael,

If you're inheriting from the content module you'd get the same limitations that count for it, but if you create a completely custom module with its own custom data type, you won't be limited by your Sitefinity edition.
