News Room customization for "PublicationDate" - Sitefinity - General Discussions

Is there a way to make a change in the Sitefinity 4.1x code if you decide to backdate "PublicationDate" in News Room?

If you enter a different date currently, it always automatically reset to today's date.

Our ideal scenario is the current date (today) is pre-populated, but the user has the ability to alter it.

Hello Lou,

We have introduced such functionality (Backdating content items) in our Sitefinity 4.3 release, however if there are certain reasons why you need to stay on previous version, you can still achieve the desired functionality. Please find a discussion and code samples which we've provided on the topic on this forum thread, I believe you might find it useful.
