List Widget Filtering

I have created a content list and added items to it. When I add an item, SF gives me the ability to classify the item by categories and tags. When I go to drag a list widget onto a page however, there doesn't appear to be a way to filter / "narrow by" categories and tags, as with the news widget, download list widget, etc. Why am I able to classify list items if I can't filter them in the List Widget?? Is this correct or an oversight in SF? How can I filter list items by category on my pages?

The support for categories and tags filtering in the Lists module will be available with the upcoming Sitefinity 4.4 release which is expected for mid-December. The categories and tags in the list module for now can be used to filter you content on the public site using the Categories or Tags widgets.

 I have just tested to filter a list by categories and tags and all was working as expected the list was filtered. Are you getting any errors on the page (examine it with firebug in Firefox or developer tools in Internet explorer).
