I have an existing application that I would like to merge with Sitefinity. I know it's possible to copy the existing application files into the Sitefinity project. However, ideally, what I would like to is keep both web applications in a separate project, based on the following article:

How To Create an ASP.NET Application from Multiple Projects for Team Development

Has anybody attempted this?

Hello,

It is mentioned in the article there will be one parent project and many child projects. If Sitefinity is the parent project then it will be working, but if it is a child projects there is a requirement to remove web.config because the child projects inherit from parent web.config which will make Sitefinity not work since its web.config is specifically configured for its needs.
