Adding simple list classification to List content type

I created a new simple list classification that I would like to use on the List content type.  On the List item view, only "Categories" and "Tags" appear as options.  Is there a way to add my new simple list classification to this view in v4.3?

Indeed there is!

- Go to the lists area, click on your list
- On the right you'll see "Custom fields for list items", click that
- Click add a field
- Type: Classification
- Then you should see a dropdown with your custom classification.

Save that and it should now show up when you edit list items.
