Hi
I have followed the installation video instruction for Windows Server 2003. Can't find any for XP. Seems I have got things right. Got passed the part where I set the modify permissions for the users on App_Data folder. So when refreshing the URL it seems to load Sitefinity. But I get an 404 error The page cannot be found. My url at localhost is http://localhost/Sitefinity/Startup.
Any ideas of whats going wrong?

Regards
Tomas

Hi Tomas,

Can you tell us how did you setup Sitefinity on your Windows XP machine? Did you use the Project Manager or IIS? Setting up Sitefinity on IIS under XP is not possible, as in XP you can only have IIS 5.1, and Sitefinity needs IIS 6+.

Also can you consult the following page:

http://www.sitefinity.com/resources/system-requirements.aspx

and make sure you fulfill all requirements. The following setup page from our documentation can help you setup your project correctly using the Project Manager:

www.sitefinity.com/.../

Hi

Thanks for the answer. Yes I used the Project Manager as in the Video guide http://tv.telerik.com/watch/sitefinity/sitefinity-40-installation-on-windows-server-2003
I used it to create the project. And then I configured IIS. OK the version for IIS is wrong in XP. So I need to run my project from Project Manager so it uses its internal web server.
I'll try that.

Now it is working when I run from the Project Manager.
Thanks!
