I was trying to remove a few unused assemblies from my references when I suddenly got the following error.

The type initializer for 'Telerik.Sitefinity.Configuration.WebConfig' threw an exception.

Hello Ryan,

Can you tell us which dlls have you removed? If the site was working before deleting content from webconfig or assemblies / references the problem is most likely related to some missing data. Can you ensure that you have all project - required files in place and all handlers / settings in the webconfig? You can create a blank project and consult its preferences. Any additional information would be helpful.

Hello,
Thanks. I created a brand new project and moved everything over. That seemed to fix the problem. Thanks for your help.
