Hi,

We already have an existing website with active users written in ASP.NET MVC. We would like to use forums module using sitefinity.

So, I want to create forums.xxxxxx.com

But I don't want my users to create another account. Can we use the existing data store to authenticate and authorize users to login to forums site? Also, Is Single-SignOn possible at all with 5.0?

Hi Preetham,

Yes, Sitefinity 5.0 supports claims-based authentication and single sign on.
Resources and documentation explaining how to set it up are available in this link. Following the the way we implement SSO with Windows authentication you can implement authentication against your MVC based website.
