Question about Image Library & Permissions

I am trying to figure out how to solve a problem one of two ways.
My problem reloves around the fact that I would like to store layout graphics on the disk rather than in the DB.  I understand that this is possible, but from what I have found it is an either DB or Disk setup and you can't just pick the file location like you could in SF3x from the image selector.

So the next thing I tried doing was limiting what my editors see in regards to image libraries.  This did not work, even though I have set the permissions to "View this Library" only to allow the administrator group, the editors can still see it.

Does anyone have a solution?

hey medicalwebgeek.  i too am after this kind of fix but i dont think it is implemented yet.
