Site Sync + blob storage on Azure from Stage to Prod?

Does Site Sync sync Blob storage images from the staging blob storage account 
to the production blob storage account on Azure?  I have attempted a Site Sync from my stage to Prod but the blob images don't appear to copy from the stage storage account to the production storage account.  Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing?

I'm almost done writing a custom SiteSync module that works better that the stock module - e.g. the stock module for some reason can't sync Tags, Categories or any custom fields. I also discovered quite a lot of bugs that probably won't be fixed. I'll update my module quite often so any discovered issues will be fixed right away.

The problem doesn`t occur with sitefinity 5.3.3900 version. In addition lits of improvements have been added to the site sync module.
 

• Site Sync now effectively transfers large media blobs (up to 2 GB, because of an IIS restriction) - without consuming any additional memory.  
• Overall sync speed improvement (30% faster sync).
• Pages, their controls and properties are sent in a single request to avoid transactional inconsistencies.
• A progress bar during synchronization.
• A new Synchronization.log is written during the process.
• Synchronization summary information is stored into the database and shown on the last (summary) screen
