Google Analytics and Machine Key

I was just having problems getting the Google Analytics page to load in the backend.
Recently we added a generated machine key to the web.config, so I thought perhaps this had some effect on the encrypted credentials for the analytics.config file.
I've now tried renaming that config file in hopes that Sitefinity would offer me the opportunity to just create a new set of credentials and reassign permissions for Analytics.
I now get a Silverlight "First Time Setup and Configuration" interface on the Analytics page, but it does not respond to any mouse clicks and is stuck at "Please select which Sitefinity users will be administrators for Sitefinity Analytics". No users are listed and "Next Step" is grey.

First question: Does my machine key affect this?

Is so, what is the recommended process for entering new credentials for Analytics?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Hi Scott Rozman,

Thank you for contacting out services.

The machine key should not be the reason for your Analytics problem. You can find more information and troubleshooting guide on the problem here. Please try following the steps described in our KB article.

If you experience any difficulties, or the problem is still present don't hesitate to contact me.

I'm currently experiencing the same error: No administrator users are listed when configuring Sitefintiy Analytics. I tried the work around you linked too, but it didn't work.

Do you have any other ideas about what might be causing this problem?

Hey, this has just happened to me too in 5.1SP2.. There is no AnalyticsConfig.config file.

I initially selected an Administrator and pressed Next, then cancelled the setup operation.

Have tried restarting the web server etc...

Hoping for some ideas and will reply back if I manage to solve this.

OK, strange and can't repeat :(  But here's how I fixed it in my case:
Logged out
Logged in as a different ADMIN
Went to Analytics and it gave me the right Setup screen
Immediately logged off
Logged in my original ADMIN again, and completed the setup
