Audience specific content delivery

Hi there,

Has anyone come across a scenario, specifically in Sitefinity, where you may have 3 different types of users (not culture based - these are different user types ie. buyers, sellers, swappers), and you want to show different content to each of them, but using the same page?

These users won't login, they'll just select their user type from a drop down at the top of the page and based on that the content should change to be specific to that particular user type.

Example:
Lets say we had a content page describing a product... an espresso machine.
For the buyer we would want to include a full list of specs, but for the seller we would only want to show the brief introduction text, for swappers we might want to show products of equal value.

I've been pondering on how to acheive this scenario in Sitefinity and still maintain editability for content editors (i.e. it must be easy for them to maintain the content for all three different user types withoout having to duplicate the entire site 3 times)

Would it be possible to categorize each content item and then somehow have the generic content module extract only that content when a specific user type is selected?

Regards,
Jacques
