Hi,

In the testenvironment, we do have forums under contents when you login in Sitefinity CMS. However on the live website there is no forums under contents. How can I enable this?

We have the Standard edition.

What version are you running?

In 5.1 you will see Administration - Modules where you can activate the modules

I am using 5.0.

I don't have Administration -> Modules. Only a "module builder".

Forums where introduced in 5.0 so you should have them. http://www.sitefinity.com/versionnotes.aspx?id=2739

You are login in as admin are you. Rights could have an impact.

Administration - Permissions - might be the place to check for forums.

The Adminstration - Modules is only available as per 5.1

The exact version I am running is: 5.0.2500

Is there any way to turn the forums on (perhaps directly in the database?)

Hello everyone,

ConsumentenClaim, can you please compare the two Sitefinity instances' SystemConfig.config files?

All modules are registered under the <applicationModules> XML node, so for Forums you should have;
<add version="5.1.3210.0" name="Forums" />

where version might differ depending on your Sitefinity version.

Hi Boyan,

Indeed, I am missing the configuration files I think. The code to add the module was missing and there was also no ForumConfig.config.

I copied the config files over (except for dataconfig.config). Still not there though.

Any other suggestions?

Dear ConsumentenClient

Under Administration - License what do you see there? Dumb question I know. Just to make sure you got both the same version and 5.1. Sorry for asking.

See screenshot.
