Categories ULR's what used for?

I have the following categories

ParentCategory 1
- Subcategory 1

ParentCategory 2
- Subcategory 1

Both Subcategories will have the same URL. I was wondering where these URL are beeing used and if I run into trouble if both subcategories have the same URL.
