lock users from certain content areas?

Hi,
Is it possible to set permissions to certain content blocks / widgets so that specific users can not make changes to that area i.e. edit the content or move the widget?

Sorry, ignore this post - I should really look at the permissions tab in more depth!! Does everything I need it to do in there.
