Is Sitefinity Useful for Online Databases/Softwares

Hi,
I am thinking of buying sitefinity to design interactive Layout for my web pages.

My site is not a content mangement site but its an online database.  I am .net web programmer and lack designing techniques.

My online database software is already setup and running.

With the help of sitefinity, will i am able to design a better template and improve website layout?
