Forum list adds weird CSS

I've added a forum list to a page that uses a div-based layout from a referenced .master page. For some reason, SF is adding a "clear:both;" to the list, which is causing the content div to be pushed below my left-column divs.
What gives?
I can add a rule,
.sfclearFix clear:auto !important;
to my CSS, but that seems like a kludge.
