Partial word searching

I would like to allow partial word searching in the site by default.

Have fun with that one :)  I wish it was default as well...AFAIK right now this is a custom implementation b/c lucene requires wildcards and things.  Last ticket I put in they said something like override the default search to hijack the search and add the wildcard or something (it was a while back).

  I'm pretty sure if polled, most (all) users would expect the search to be more google like (how you want).
