Hey guys, just wondering if there are any plans to remove the compaitabillity mode for browsers  higher than IE 8 in the Sitefinity backend?

We've found a issue using KendoUI DataViz (not so important but still) that may not be the only one.

More info here:
KendoUI and Siteifnity - eVeliko blogs

Everything works great under Chrome for example (and once again it's not that bad in IE but can be better).

Thanks,
Pavel

Hey Pavel,

I actually ran into an IE issue earlier this week where the stylesheet widget doesn't work with IE9 or IE10.

Although officially IE9 is suppose to be already fully supported (www.sitefinity.com/.../system-requirements) the word on IE9/IE10 compatibility was 'hopefully in v6.0'

Hello,

The compatibily tag was added due to a bug with RadGrid client binding and internet explorer. We have tried resolving the issue for 5.4 but is not a trivial one and we have rescheduled this bug for post 6.0 versions.

You can remove this compatibility tag using Root Templates from our GitHub PowerTools repository. However expect to have some issues with backend content lists in IE  9/10 if you are using those browsers.

Thank you, Radoslav!
Knowing where to look for pottential issues helps a lot the guys here.
Anyway it is not a real issue for us so we'll keep using it the way it is.
