Upgrade costs and issues? - Sitefinity - General Discussions

Hey guys

I have a freelance client on 5.1 wishing to upgrade to 6, will they incur any costs license wise? and are there any know issues to be aware of when undertaking this upgrade path?

As long as they are currently licensed, all upgrades are free

Just follow the upgrade path and test, you should be okay and they should get a huge performamce boost form the 5.4 update. Ask around but you can usually jump a few versions on upgrade...

Hi Steve,

This is the 2nd time I see you alluding to the possibility of jumping a few versions on upgrade.

Do you mean upgrading a 5.1 project using 6.0 project manager?

You know what, I'm just going to do it. The worst I can do is break the website on my local machine.
