Search within Excel documents on the site. Will it?

We have several lists maintained in Excel xlsx format files.

We are running SF 6.2??

At one time I thought the search indexs included the data in those xlsx files but now the contents do not show up in the search results. Why and how do I get them to show up in the results?

Hi John,

You have to process and extract the data from the excel files in order to index them in the search and get them in the search results. This is done and explained in our documentation.
