Hello Bhavani,
Can you please let me know when the issue started appearing? Is it after an upgrade or after you have moved your project to another environment?
In addition to this, can you please delete the files under the ~/App_Data/Sitefinity/Logs folder (or copy the files to another location for backup) and then try to reproduce the issue. After that please check if there are any log files under the Logs folder and send the files to me to inspect them. The errors in the log file will provide us more details about the issue and what is causing it.
Hi Sabrie,
Thanks for your reply.
From past 2 weeks onwards we are facing this issue and we have not done any changes and upgradation. But recently my live site SSL got expired and replaced with new SSL. We feel after that issue is raising. That is also we are not sure. Issue also not reproducing always. There are 20 uploaded documents are available. All I can able to edit and publish again. But issue with new document which we are trying to upload. Even this issue also not reproducing always. Yesterday we can able to upload new document but after that when we trying to edit ad do some changes in document and not allowed to publish again. It showed some 500-Internal server error.
We could not able to identify the issue.
I have requested log files and will share you soon.
Hi Sabie,
Please find the attached log files for the same while uploading document in Sitefinity.
Thanks
Bhavani
Hi Bhavani,
Thank you for sending the error message.
Please note that the below error which you are getting:
Exception message: The remote host closed the connection. The error code is 0x80070057
Hi Sabrie,
Currently we are using Sitefinity 5.0 version.
Recently Sitefinity(SHA1) got expired and we renewed in Production server using SHA2. After that we are facing lot of issues(uploading of document and publish functionality) in production site like
Document upload in IE is still coming up as an internal server error 500 when I try and edit an existing document.
If I upload a new document it uploads but then doesn’t show in the list again.
Publishing a page from draft comes up with an error and won’t publish (on a mac in safari)
The publishing page from draft doesn’t work in chrome either.
Please let me know whether changing from SHA1to SHA2 it will effect Sitefinity. Do we need to do any modifications?
Please try to help us its very urgent.
Thanks
Bhavani
Hi Bhavani,
Since the issues have started appearing after you have started using SHA2 on your production project, most probably the issues might be related to this. However, it is hard to say the exact reason for the issue. The error messages say that the issue might be related to the environment settings on your side.
Can you please let me know if you have tried to set the project on your local environment and does the issue reproduce when running the project locally? This way we can see if this is environment related.
Please also note that currently we use SHA1 for password hashing and it is not possible change this. Can you please let me know the exact steps you have taken before the issue to appear and how you have configured Sitefinity to use SHA2?
Regards,
Sabrie Nedzhip
