Exclude image titles/alt tags in "static HTML in pages" search indexes?

We have a search index that searches through "Static HTML in pages" but it's catching images as results. (The search result shows up as a link to the image.) We surmise it's because it's capturing the title and/or alt tags in those images, which appear in the HTML, of course.

Is there a way to exclude the HTML in image tags?

Hello,

You can use the approach described in this article: Hiding Page Content From The Search Engine In Sitefinity Using Layout Widgets. You can place the image widgets in this non searchable layout and the html will not be rendered when the page is processed in memory for indexing, essentially leaving out anything that you placed in this layout.
