Folder Navigation Display

Hello all,

I am new to Sitefinity and web development in general. What I am trying to achieve is a page design that is similar to the image "Capture.PNG".

Basically I want to be able to upload content into folders and then have the website automatically update the folders displayed on the webpage. Then the user can navigate through the folders and sub-folders (similar to windows explorer if you will). Not only this but I need the sub-file structure to be retained on the page. For example, I have tried to achieve this using the Download List widget, but this widget simply displays all the files within a specific Folder, ignoring all sub-folder relations.

Can someone please point me in the correct direction to achieve this? Any hint or tip will be greatly appreciated.

Omar

Hi Dimitri,

Thank you for the answer. I had previously looked at the threads you linked to, and while the solution is acceptable, what I am looking for is not a treeview structure. Rather I want to navigate the folders where clicking each folder leads to another page that is displaying its sub-folders and files within and so on. Is there a way to achieve this?

In the meantime, I will continue to play around with the code you linked.

Thank you,

Omar

Hi Omar,
Thanks for your clarification. That is something that is not possible as it is a rather complex scenario considering the backend logic.
I apologize for this inconvenience.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns about this.
