Mobile Navigation Default\Dummy Item

Hello - I have a horizontal menu that collapses into a dropdown box menu for mobile. However, with this approach I can't select the first item.

For example if I have a menu with 3 links, A, B, and C. For mobile it appears with a drop down box with A already selected. But now I can't select A.

What is the best approach to fix this? Is there a way to add a first item that isn't a link? Like "Select"?

It would help to understand if this was based on Feather or WebForm navigation.
