roles/properties that needs to be assigned while creating a

Hello, can someone please help me to understand the roles/properties that needs to be assigned while creating a new user ?

1) On the new user creation page in sitefinity there is a checkbox named "is a public profile". what does public profile means ?

2) Among the roles there is a role named "Users". Whom should be this role be assigned to? to the website frontend users?


In general when you are creating a front end user (I mean, a user who can login to the frontend website and view the pages but no backend CMS access) what roles/properties needs to be assigned?
