RADEditor in Sitefinity 10.1.6500.x removes mailto links upo

We are using Sitefinity version 10.1.6500.0 to build a site. And we noticed that the RADEditor in Content modules (like Lists, Content Blocks, Blogs, any dynamic modules,etc) strips a <a href="mailto:abc@abc.com">Som Text</a> of the href tag. It doesn't occur if there is normal url inside the href.

We also noticed that this issue is present in 10.1.6502.0 (created a new project to test) and that this issue is NOT present in 10.0.6411.0 where it works perfectly fine. Can you guys please clarify if this is intentional? If yes, how do we go around it?

We have created a content block with a mailto link as <a href="mailto:johnsmith@gmail.com">John</a> . When I clicked save RADEditor removes the mailto href and saves as <a>John</a>. 

@Sreeraj Are you using Sitefinity 10.1.6502.X? 

This issue occurs only when entering content to any modules (dynamic). But in page content widget it works fine. 

This drove me crazy today.  Here is the answer:

One would expect that Progress took into account that it was breaking its own functionality. -_-
